First of all, in order to give full play to the bearings and maintain their due performance for a long time, regular maintenance (regular inspection) must be done.
Second, in the regular inspection of bearings, if there is a fault, it must be discovered early to prevent accidents before they happen, which is very important for improving productivity and economy.
Third, bearings are coated with an appropriate amount of anti-rust oil and packaged with anti-rust paper when leaving the factory. As long as the packaging is not damaged, the quality of the bearings will be guaranteed.
Fourth, if the bearings are stored for a long time, it is advisable to store them on a shelf 30cm above the ground under the conditions of humidity below 65% and temperature around 20℃. In addition, the storage place should avoid direct sunlight or contact with cold walls.
Fifth, when cleaning the bearing during bearing maintenance, the following steps need to be taken:
a. First, when removing the bearing for inspection, take a good appearance record by photography or other methods. In addition, confirm the amount of remaining lubricant and sample the lubricant before cleaning the bearing.
b. The cleaning of the bearing is divided into rough cleaning and fine cleaning, and a metal grid can be placed at the bottom of the container used.
c. During rough cleaning, use a brush to remove grease or adhesive in the oil. If you turn the bearing in the oil at this time, be careful that the rolling surface will be damaged by foreign matter.
d. During fine cleaning, slowly turn the bearing in the oil and be careful. The cleaning agent commonly used is neutral water-free diesel or kerosene, and sometimes warm alkali solution is used as needed. Regardless of which cleaning agent is used, it must be filtered frequently to keep it clean.
e. After cleaning, apply anti-rust oil or anti-rust grease to the bearing immediately.
Sixth, when disassembling and installing the bearing, professional tools and corresponding safety steps must be used for good installation and removal of the bearing.
